Service · Measure

Source telemetry to defensible Scope 2, in two weeks.

Most technology ESG reporting breaks at one of two points: data quality, or access to the data. We install the ESG agent across your fleet, run a 7-day measured baseline, and hand back energy, Scope 2, and cost figures that trace back to the kilowatt readings underneath them.

Fit

Who it's for, who it isn't

It fits when

  • You have a sustainability disclosure (SECR, CSRD, customer audit) and your IT footprint is the part you can't defend with vendor averages.
  • You operate a mixed fleet — Windows, macOS, Linux, Proxmox, pfSense — and need numbers across all of it, not just one platform.
  • You want a baseline you can keep running, not a one-off carbon report that ages out the day you publish it.

It doesn't fit when

  • You only need Scope 1 (direct emissions, fuel, refrigerants). This pilot is Scope 2 (purchased electricity) for IT infrastructure.
  • You need an offset programme or a certification stamp. This is measurement and a paper trail; what you do with the figures is yours.
  • You don't yet have a sustainability framework you're reporting against: start with AI Governance Assessment first.
What you get

The deliverable

  • Deployed ESG agent across up to 10 endpoints in your environment, covering Windows, macOS, Linux, Proxmox hosts, and pfSense as needed. (Other hypervisors and operating systems are on the roadmap.)
  • 7-day measured baseline. Energy (kWh), Scope 2 emissions (kg CO₂e), and electricity cost (£), per endpoint and at fleet level, with method-accuracy badges so you can see at a glance where each number came from.
  • Auditor-ready CSV export. Timestamped readings, workload IDs, grid-emission factor source, and electricity unit cost source — the kind of trail an auditor can follow without a phone call.
  • Methodology footer. What we measured, how we measured it, what we estimated, and the accuracy band on each — published with the figures, not buried in a separate document.
  • Readout session. Joint walkthrough with your sustainability and IT leads, showing how to read the numbers and how to keep the agent running afterwards.
How it works

The phases

  1. Scope + endpoint shortlist

Which 10 endpoints best represent the fleet you'll need to disclose. Mix of OS, role, and platform agreed on day one.

  2. Agent deployment + calibration

ESG agent installed across the shortlist. IPMI, RAPL, GPU sensors, powermetrics, or calibrated estimation chosen per endpoint and labelled accordingly.

  3. 7-day measured run

Live capture: every endpoint's draw, joined to your grid-emission factor and electricity rate. Numbers stream into the Portal as they're measured.

  4. Baseline report + readout

CSV export, methodology footer, and a session with your sustainability and IT leads. Plus a clear handover for what continuing telemetry costs and looks like.

Duration & price

What to budget

Duration

1–2 weeks

Price

£3,000 ex VAT

Fixed fee covering up to 10 endpoints in the pilot. Continuing telemetry after the pilot is licensed at £1 per agent, per month — billed only on agents you choose to keep running. You can stop at the end of the 7-day baseline and keep the report.

Sample baseline

A 7-day baseline, as the report shows it

These figures are from our own infrastructure, not a customer reference. We dogfood the ESG agent on our own kit before we deploy it on yours. The shape of the output is what every pilot ships.

Energy

80.1 kWh

Measured, 7-day window across 10 endpoints.

Scope 2 emissions

16.6 kg CO₂e

UK grid factor applied per the disclosed-factors table.

Electricity cost

£24.03

Ofgem UK 2024 unit rate. Replace with your own contracted rate at deployment.

Endpoints

10

Mixed: Windows workstations, Linux servers, macOS, Proxmox host, pfSense edge.

The accompanying CSV (one row per endpoint per measurement window) is what an auditor traces. The figures above are the cover sheet.

Summary

If your numbers can't be traced from source telemetry to reported figures, they're hard to defend under real scrutiny. The pilot exists to make that trace exist.
